RESOLUTION DAY 2020

Resolution Day is an El Gancho tradition!
We kick off each year with a Saturday full of classes, demonstrations and lectures,in order to get the new year started off with some gusto.

It doesn’t matter how you ended the year, whether you met last year’s goals, or even know what to do next.

This is the day for a FRESH START!
Join us in your favorite workouts or step out of your comfort zone and try something new.

ROUND 1

 

Group Nutrition Lecture
8 - 9 am
Learn good eating for good health. Nutrition counseling group lecture. with Pam
Tone Back...Better Posture
8:30 - 9:30 am
Training challenge on FreeMotion equipment and TRX to strengthen back muscles Conditioning to improve back strength and postural awareness Training technique and cuing will focus on alignment for each exercise. The “Back Circuit” will include 8 stations focusing on strength and core exercises. with Barbara

ROUND 2

 

Intervals on Dynamic Ropes
9 - 9:30 am
This form of training will provide a number of exercises that allow more results and less chance of injuries. It’s also a great way to strengthen weaker parts of the body while increasing stability and mobility throughout the body. with Aaron

Sound Travels Cycling
9 - 10 am

Advanced Player Tennis Clinic

Boot Camp
10 - 10:45 am
A high intensity workout that will provide safe and effective exercises that you can use in any routine. Using a combination of intervals and an emphasis on full body exercises, you will be able to get the most out of your workout without wasting any time! with Aaron

Classical Pilates Mat
11 - 12:00 pm
Floor exercises based on the original work of Joseph H. Pilates that bring together core strength, breath, body alignment, posture & balance. Lengthen and strengthen your body using your core muscle groups in a series of non-impact exercises designed to focus on abs, back and buttocks.with Amy
Beginning Tai Chi
11 - 11:30 am
Form improves flow in the way your body moves by emphasizing balance, relaxation and timing. The training carries over and will improve any sport or physical activity.with Rick
Advanced Tai Chi
11:35 - 12:05 pm
Tai chi as martial art. Applications of the tai chi form for self-defense. 2 person exercises. No experience necessary.with Rick

ROUND 5

 

Body Fat Testing
12 - 1 pm
Five minute body fat testing.with Pam
Yoga
12:15 - 1:15 pm
Focus on Ujjayi, or Deep Breathing, Lying Down, Seated, and while preforming theasanas or postures.with Susan
Yoga for Weight Lifters
112:30 - 1 pm
Martha will help you incorporate stretches for you based on your needs and your lifting program and any range of motion issues you would like to address. with Martha
Aqua Disco
12:30 - 1 pm
High energy water fitness dance workout. Party in the Pool!with Jessie

ROUND 6

Stress Release & Meditation
1:30 - 2:30 pm
Yoga for stress release and meditation. 30 minutes of Asanas and pranayama techniques to promote deep relaxation. 30 minutes visual centering and guided meditation. Music to elicit a sense of peace and harmony will be provided. Please bring your own yoga mat. with Debbie
